Simon Wilson is Director and co-founder of Wilson Sherriff (https://wilsonsherriff.com/), a consultancy focusing on providing facilitation and stakeholder engagement expertise to clients in a range of sectors, including the built environment.  Simon has over 20 years’ experience working in industry with a range of clients and projects.  Since 2010 much of his work has focused on projects with an environmental focus such as flood defences and water treatment sites.  Simon holds an MBA degree from the Open University and is an accredited Certified Professional Facilitator (Master).  Earlier in his career he was a postgraduate researcher at the University of Oxford.


Simon is a former Vice Chair of the International Association of Facilitators.  He regularly provides webinars and training sessions for the Environment Agency and other organisations on themes such as engagement in uncertain times, the psychological aspects of engagement, project management, and best practice facilitation.   He is co-author of two books:Virtual meetings: a practical guide (2021) and That’s the question! How managers and facilitators can ask the best question at the best time (2013).    He is also co-author of two chapters in published collections on collaborative culture and group dynamics.
